A Fall Family Sneak Peek | Platte City Family Photographer

I love it when I get to see families more than once. The last time I saw this family was last year on a sunny, warm day at the end of summer. This year they decided to have a fall session. Since the leaves have blown off of the trees, we took advantage of some waterfalls, stone walls and the different types of grasses that a local subdivision has. It was great to see you again 'F' family!

This is the third time I've photographed this family and what a difference a year or two can make! The first time I saw them, the youngest one was just beginning to walk. Then last year she had just turned two, and wasn't quite sure what to think of me. :) This year, everyone was all smiles and I have quite a few photos of little Miss S laughing at the funny word combinations I was using - she even came up with a couple herself.

 

 

And one of Miss S by herself since she just had a birthday today!

I love seeing this family every fall. Not only are they friends that we don't get to see enough of, but the personalities of these two boys are so much like my own two kids that it's funny at times. They are serious, funny and playful all at the same time. It's been so fun watching them grow! This is the third fall that I've taken their photos and we decided to end their session with ice cream cones. Unfortunately the ice cream place I planned to used had closed down. =( Thankfully their mom saved me and came up with another location!

Miss J wanted to have her session on a stage. Unfortunately, the stage I had in mind didn't work as I hoped it would. We were still able to get some photos that captured Miss J's fun personality though.

Sneak Peek #1 | Kansas City Area Photographer

We met last night for their photo session. Miss K and Mr. A were adorable and didn't seem to mind the very humid evening.  I've just started going through their photos, but here are a few that caught my eye as I was quickly looking through them.

 

Between Rain Storms | Kansas City Area Photographer

We have been having a lot of rain lately. If I could, I would be happy to send it somewhere else! Mr. E's session was originally scheduled on a day that ended up being dark and dreary. His session was rescheduled for a bright, sunny day and before the next session of rain storms hit us. He was quite serious for his photos, but he was willing to do anything I asked. I soon learned that his impatience to be done had to do with the water fight he planned to have with his siblings as soon as he got home. :)

If these photos look familiar, I had a similar session with his older brother last spring. A few of my favorites -

By the end of the session, he was ready to ditch the tie, jacket and dress shoes. Too bad I didn't have a fishing pole. I think the rolled up dress shirt and pants would have been perfect for an impromptu fishing session by the water. 

Miss E is Five | Kansas City Area Child Photographer

I have photographed Miss E a few different times and it's so fun to watch her grow up. She can be very shy and serious, but when she opens up, I love listening to her little voice and laughter. She's so excited about starting Kindergarten this fall and I bet that she will be quite the social butterfly once she gets to know all of her new friends. Enjoy being 5 Miss E!

I never got around to posting this session on my blog. I didn't want to post their session before Christmas just in case the grandma of these 6 found my blog (their photos were part of her Christmas present) and then they just never got posted...until now.

The moms really wanted a group photo, however, the two little ones had other ideas. :) We were able to get two group photos taken before the little ones were done, then I followed them back to their house and took photos while the kids played.
